Shannon Jansen

Shannon Jansen is the Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator for OSF St. Mary Medical Center. Shannon has only been at the hospital for a short time, working previously as the news director for Galesburg Broadcasting Company. Shannon moved to Galesburg in 1998 from the suburbs of Chicago to work at the radio station. During her time in Galesburg she has been actively involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Knox County, serving as a "Big Sister," Board Member and is currently in her second term as Board President. Shannon has also been actively involved with the United Way of Knox County, serving as a Campaign co-chair for two consecutive years. She has also served on the local Emergency Planning Committee, the Illinois News Broadcasters Association, the Associated Press - Illinois Board of Directors and is currently working with the Knox County Health Department Pandemic Flu Committee.  She and her husband  T'Jay Jansen have one dog, Boise, whom they adopted from the shelter in September.

Michele Bizarri

Michelle Bizarri has been  a Marketing Consultant with Galesburg Broadcasting since October 2004. Prior to joining the Marketing Team at Galesburg Broadcasting, Michele served as the Marketing Coordinator with Galesburg Business Association and as a Marketing Specialist with AT&T Wireless. Michele has experienced all sides of the marketing field from developing campaigns, coordinating and marketing events, and working with advertising agencies for a multi-million dollar company.

Michele has served on the Costa Catholic School Auction Committee, Knox County Scenic Drive, United Way and Railroad Days Committee. She and her husband also run and own their own business.

   

Robin DeMott

Robin DeMott works at Carl Sandburg College where she has been the director of marketing and public relations for 15 years and teaches journalism part-time. She has been recognized for numerous district and national award winning publications and media success stories and was named communicator of the year by the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR) Organization in 2003.

She has an Associate of Science degree from Ft. Scott Community College, Kansas, a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communications from Kansas State University, and a Master of Arts degree in education administration from the University of Illinois in Springfield.

Robin is a member of the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations, as well as the College's Business Management Program Advisory Committee, the Graphic Design Professional Program Advisory Committee, and a Business Advisory Board Member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). She is the author of the CSC Envoy Report, a newsletter for area high schools and publisher of The Charger, the CSC newsletter to the community.

Robin lives on a horse farm near Rio, Illinois, with her husband, Mike and two daughters, Chelsea and Mikhayla. She is active in her community by serving as a 4-H leader, is a member of the Knox County 4-H Youth Development committee and the GREDA Community Marketing Committee, was author of a family farm series for FOCUS on Health magazine and recently served on the City of Galesburg logo and slogan committee. Outside of work she spends most of her time at her daughter's junior high school and high school rodeos and basketball games. Additionally, she competes in barrel racing events and rodeos, gives riding lessons and is a member of several horse related organizations.

   

Hal Devore

Hal Devore is a retired school teacher, who taught 37 years in the public schools with focus on American studies, economics and history. After retiring from public schools, Hal was a part time instructor in the education department at Knox College for ten years. He is actively involved in his community through community service and volunteer work, which includes the First Presbyterian Church, Knox County Habitat for Humanity, VNA, Christian Community Helping Neighbors, Leadership Greater Galesburg and GREDA Community Marketing Committee.

   

Linda Hawkins

Linda Hawkins has served at the Director of Fund Development for the OSF St. Mary Medical Center Foundation since September 2001. In her role, she oversees all of the fundraising activities and development work of the medical center. Linda also currently serves as Mission Integration Committee Chairperson for OSF St. Mary.

In addition to the GREDA Marketing Committeee, Linda is president of the Galesburg Exchange Club, where she has been a member since November 2001. She is an elder at Coldbrook Christian Church where she is a member with her husband Steve and children Hannah and Matthew. Linda also serves on the Parent Advisory Committee at Churchill Jr. High School.

Linda graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.

Jennifer Steck

Jennifer Steck is a Litigation Coordinator at Stoerzbach, Robertson, Wilcox & Alcorn, P.C. Prior to joining the law firm, she was the Director of Marketing & Communications for GREDA. Her work experience prior to that focused on grassroots community organizing.

Jennifer is a member of the GREDA Community Marketing Committee, Board member and Public Relations Chair for the Galesburg Lions Club, member of the First Presbyterian Church Long-Range Planning Committee, and part of the Leadership Greater Galesburg Class XIII D.R.E.A.M. project.

When she isn't busy with her work or volunteer efforts she spends time with her husband and two sons.
