Business Retention & Expansion

Existing employers don't have to be expanding to receive attention in Galesburg. The Vice President of Business Development conducts an annual Business Retention and Expansion (BR&E) program to maintain open lines of communication between the business community and its leadership.

Every year, GREDA staff and volunteers conduct business retention visits to meet with local businesses and learn more about their recent successes and current challenges. A mail survey is sent to businesses that are unable to meet with GREDA's BR&E team.

Once collected, this information is compiled into a database to ensure that businesses are receiving the proper level of support and are rewarded for their success. This information can also be used to analyze trends in the area business climate and help GREDA identify new opportunities for the community.
