Galesburg Regional Economic Development Association (GREDA) serves existing and prospective businesses in Galesburg, Knoxville, and Knox County, Illinois. The Private, not-for-profit 501 (c) 6 organization is funded by the municipal entities it represents as well as area businesses and service groups that know the benefits of operating in the Galesburg area. This investment is guarded by a 40-member Board of Directors that advises a full-time economic development staff.
Organizational Mission
The organizational mission of GREDA is to provide leadership for economic growth and prosperity.
Purpose
GREDA’s purpose is job and capital creation. GREDA was created to retain existing businesses, assist local businesses with their expansions, proactively market the Galesburg area to prospective business, and develop small businesses. A network of business leaders, local officials, and interested citizens incorporate a grassroots approach to developing a strong local economy and expanding employment opportunities for our area’s workforce.
